The First All-Silicon Carbide Photovoltaic, Energy Storage And Intelligent Supercharging Station In Hunan Was Put Into Operation In Liuyang
On the morning of July 20, the Photovoltaic, energy storage and intelligent supercharging station built by Liufa Group and Global Power Technology Co., Ltd(GPT) was officially put into operation, which is the first all-silicon carbide new energy vehicle charging station integrating "photovoltaic power generation, battery energy storage, and liquid-cooled supercharging" in Hunan county-level cities.
The charging station was jointly invested by Liufa Group and GPT with an investment of 6 million yuan, with a total of 50 parking spaces and 40 charging guns, which can meet the charging needs of different models. Among them, the maximum output power of the supercharger can reach 600 kilowatts, and the passenger car can be replenished with 30 kWh of electricity in 5 minutes of charging, and the endurance will increase by 200 kilometers; 10 minutes of truck charging can replenish 60 kWh of electricity, increasing the range by 200 kilometers, turning the expectations of the majority of new energy vehicle owners in Liuyang for fast charging into reality.
The supercharging station also fully applies GPT silicon carbide technology, which is the innovative practice result of GPT's deep cultivation of the semiconductor industry, which will help the implementation of the "double reduction" goal. The station realizes the collection, conversion, storage and reverse generation of solar energy, which can not only supply green electric energy for electric vehicles, but also store the remaining electricity, "feed" the power grid during the peak period of electricity consumption, and realize auxiliary service functions such as power peak shaving and valley filling.
"I am very excited that the operation of the supercharging station is Liuyang's best implementation and fastest response to the central policy." Chen Tong, chairman of GPT, said that the central policy has made enterprises feel very excited, and local support has increased their confidence.
"We will take the lead in landing the most cutting-edge new energy charging technology and products in Liuyang, form a demonstration benchmark, and build Liuyang into the source of new energy technology application, and vigorously promote it to the whole province and the whole country in the future." Chen Tong said that Liuyang's excellent business environment not only enables private enterprises to settle down and take root, but also provides policy support and broad space for enterprise technological innovation and product application, helping enterprises develop with high quality.
GPT is the first domestic semiconductor material silicon carbide device manufacturing and application solution provider, products have been widely used in PC power supply, photovoltaic inverter, charging module, OBC, DC-DC and other fields. In 2019, the company's six-inch silicon carbide chip line settled in Hunan. In May 2022, when participating in the "Entrepreneur Reception Day" in Liuyang, Chen Tong proposed that he "hopes to increase the promotion of silicon carbide products in Liuyang and increase territorial support".
In fact, the construction of supercharging stations is the second cooperation between Liufa Group and GPT. As early as when GPT settled down, Liufa Group invested 135 million yuan in shares. "After the strict decision-making process of state-owned enterprises, Liufa Group and GPT started the second cooperation, which reflects the support for outstanding local enterprises and the efficient implementation of the 'Entrepreneur Reception Day' recommendation, which effectively helps the further optimization of Liuyang's business environment." The relevant person in charge of the Liuyang Business Environment Optimization Coordination Center said.
In recent years, Liuyang has vigorously promoted the construction of charging infrastructure to improve the travel convenience of new energy vehicle owners. At present, there are about 1,300 public charging piles in Liuyang, and from 2023 to 2026, Liuyang will build more than 300 new charging stations and add about 20,000 new charging piles, including about 5,000 public charging piles.
